Cicciabella's Bio
Cicciabella was created by Cindy and Giorgio Farina, along with the marketing expertise of Mary Jane Waxler, with much success over the years. With ceaseless passion to motivate them, they have traveled the world to find the best hand–picked fabrics for their customers. Their efforts have culminated in the winning of several awards throughout the years, including a recurring spot on Inc Magazine’s list of the 500 fastest growing companies. Meanwhile, in 2003 Adria Laxson discovered her first pair of Cicciabella slippers and had to have them for her creation, Ciel Gallery. She searched around the store looking for more information on the fabulous slippers she had found. Her best friend, who had come on that day’s shopping trip, bought the Asian-inspired slippers when she saw how much Adria loved them. She gave them to Adria as a “keepsake” gift and Adria still has the slippers to this day… 7 years of outdoor wear and still going strong! From that point forward Adria bought from Cicciabella and even had the pleasure of designing a couple pairs in 2007. It was meant to be that one day she would have Cicciabella though she would never guess it.
And so the story and traveling continues…

Adria's Bio
Since she was young, Adria Laxson has had a passion for design. Taking lead from her mother, an artist who also used to make and alter clothing, she learned to sew. Adria has always loved art and design, particularly throughout her teenage years and enjoyed the height of fashion.
Some other favorite interests include horseback riding, ice skating, traveling and anything having to do with animals. Throughout Adria’s life she’s had horses and a soft spot for creatures of all kinds. She has been involved with organizations such as the The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and loves to be of help.
At the age of 23 Adria and her husband had their own small family business. Within several years the business had grown to 9 locations. During this time Adria also owned a couple of spas and enjoyed the spa industry. Interestingly, she would eventually hone in her talents entirely for slippers and spa-like products! Over the years of business, although the sewing machine had been stuck in the attic, her love of design and fashion has never diminished; in fact, it has grown.
Becoming more and more familiar with the business world, Adria also started her brainchild, Ciel Gallery, in 2003. This creation was solely to buy and retail beautiful things, most importantly, Cicciabella products. Even before coming up with all the products that would be sold, Cicciabella was at the top of the list and remains there to this day.
Of course the rest is history, in 2010 Adria fulfilled her wildest dreams and was able to purchase Cicciabella from the adored previous owners. Tweet
